New York Fashion Week 2019

Happy Monday loves!

I have been dying to get these photos up for you guys and share my New York Fashion Week experience with you! This was my second year straight and it was totally different from last year. Last year, I brought Van and Kevin and we had such a blast, but I thought I needed to try this year with just girls, to network and just have some fun. I roomed with my friend Karina and we had a blast!

I wanted to do some fun looks this year and if you can believe it, I hardly got to wear all the clothes I brought! I kept saving my favorites for last and then didn’t end up wearing them at all! I wanted to step out of my box a little and do fun dresses and silhouettes I don’t normally wear! This first Ronny Komo dress was one of my favorites! I actually saw it on Rocky Barnes and knew I had to have it for NY! Unfortunately, the weather was gloomy the day we shot (I hate gloom), but I still adore this look! I paired this with my Tamara Mellons, that I seriously never wanted to take off! Best high heel for the city.

I borrowed this bag from FARFETCH and I was hooked!
Love the fringe details!

So this year, when I received my invite to the SS20 show (second year in a row, so excited!) I knew I wanted to go way outside my box and just have some fun! This jumpsuit from Nadine Merambi had all the glam I could have ever hoped for! I wanted a look that was head to toe sequins and this one did not disappoint! I love the flare leg and the deep V neck, I was in heaven! She has such pretty and fun designs, but are looks that are glamorous and the fit is always AMAZING, pieces you will never forget!

One of my favorite nights in New York this year was happy hour at Nita’s high rise apartment in the city! It was another level of amazing and hung out with the perfect group of girls! I met some really amazing and inspiring women there and of course, Nita was the best host! It was just what I was needing at the time. I was tired from the endless going and Nita and her husband had everything covered! Yummy drinks and the best food! I’m still thinking about that cheesy dip she had there! Haha. I seriously love the friendships I have made over the past month, with my trip to Aurora (different Blog post) and NYC! So lucky to have them!

I wore this gorgeous Rebecca Minkoff Dress with a funky boot and you girls went crazy for it! Just love mixing feminine and masculine together, so I don’t feel so young or too old. These boots might be my new favorites for fall!

So after all the crazy during the day, it was so nice to just hang out and have drinks with my girls! Such a fun little cocktail bar at NOMO SOHO and seriously, how stunning is this Princess Polly dress! It’s one of my favorite looks I wore and the most budget friendly option for sure! I wore a size 4, but for a tighter fit, size 2 would have been great too!

The last few days of the trip I was so exhausted! I wanted to go to hot yoga and just eat good food! I am such a creature of habit and yoga is my peaceful place! I found this studio Vera Yoga and planned for a good sweat session! They have the cutest studio and got rave reviews! I brought all my Sweaty Betty favorites that are perfect for hot yoga! I love this hoody for afterwords to throw over my sweaty mess of a body! And love the blue color, just perfect for fall!

Overall, New York Fashion Week was so fabulous! I loved the connections I got to make with other women in the same industry and I love love getting to connect with brands too! NYFW SS21, here I come!
